• Basic Beliefs of the Eight Worldviews of the Belonging and Believing Families

This chart provides some basic beliefs of the worldviews as featured in the Belonging and Believing series of books and resources and has been written mainly from those perspectives. More detailed notes can be found within the Belonging and Believing books.  

For an ‘in a nutshell’ child’s perspective and overview of each worldview, please see page 26 of the Belonging and Believing books.  

• Shared Values Across the Belonging and Believing Families

This chart illustrates the shared values and beliefs across the eight worldviews in relation to the concept of kindness. The chart references the specific pages of each book that illustrate acts of kindness, draws on the teaching about kindness from each contextual story, provides relevant questions to prompt discussion and highlights key vocabulary associated with this theme / concept.

• Religion and Worldviews and EYFS 2021 and Development Matters 2020 (England)

This document highlights the most relevant ELGs for Religious Education from the EYFS 2021 Framework.

It then provides advice on implementing RE at the various stages of development in line with the

Development Matters 2020 document.

•  Religion, Values and Ethics In The Curriculum for Wales (2022)

This support document aims to support teachers (in particular, those working with 3 – 7-year olds) to

identify appropriate and meaningful Religion, Values and Ethics for their pupils as teachers and schools

design their own school level curriculum.  

• Religion, Values and Ethics In  Non-maintained funded Nursery Settings in Wales (2022)

This support document aims to support practitioners working with 3 –  4 year olds in non-maintained funded settings in Wales to identify appropriate and meaningful Religion, Values and Ethics for their pupils as teachers and settings design their own school level curriculum.  

• Curriculum Map for RE from Nursery to Year 2  

This map illustrates how the Books at Press and other resources can be used alongside a wealth of popular topics from Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

• Using the Accredited Puddles Resources with Understanding Christianity

This detailed document shows how each of the Puddles books support the relevant units within Understanding Christianity.  The Puddles books were the first to be accredited for use with Understanding Christianity in 2016.
