Consultancy and Training

The comprehensive teachers’ support material provides a wealth of activity suggestions linked to each of our resources. Each activity suggestion is linked to the areas of learning for the EYFS curriculum for England, the 2022 Curriculum for Wales or the curriculum for Excellence in Scotland. The support material illustrates how our resources can support a range of popular topics and how the beliefs and culture element of the Early Years curriculum can be easily included in a cross-curricular approach.  The full planning for England, Scotland or Wales can be purchased for £45 or is included when the complete set of resources is purchased. Alternatively, each plan is available @ just £4.99.

To complement our published resources we can provide you with a variety of classroom activities which we send by email when purchased with either the Teachers’ Planning (PLAN+3) or the Think Topic Packs.

Teachers’ Planning Resources

The following resources can be watched on YouTube or listened to here.

Key Stage 1 / FP Years 1 and 2: What do I know about a mosque?

This Windows Movie Maker resource encourages Year 1 and 2 pupils to think about what they know already about a mosque and what they can learn from the ‘movie’. It provides good extension work to our traditional Muslim stories which focus on caring for the natural world. Watch online.

Early Years children: Learning about a mosque

This Windows Movie Maker resource introduces young children to the idea of a mosque as a special place for prayer for Muslims.  It has been designed specifically at an appropriate level for children in nursery settings and reception classes.

Mosques in Turkey

This photostory captures the wide range of mosques, from town to country, visited by the author on her recent holiday to Turkey. It is accompanied by traditional Turkish music. This resource could be used with more able KS1 pupils and KS2 pupils as a stimulus to further research into the structure, design, purpose and importance of the mosque for Muslim communities across the world. Look out for furry friends relating to our traditional Muslim story Seven New Kittens!

Call To Prayer

Listen to the Muslim call to prayer known as the Adhan. This has been downloaded from www.islamcan.com where there are many other versions of the call to prayer which can be listened to alongside lots of useful information and other free resources.

Puddles Visits Kenya

This lovely photostory has been produced from photographs kindly supplied by Lisa Wilkinson, RE Co-ordinator at Goytre Fawr Primary School, Monmouthshire. Here we see Puddles visiting Kenya and finding out about school and church life in the village of Kiraro. This is a fabulous resource to use with all ages as an insight into other cultures around the world.

Puddles Visits Carlisle Cathedral

Here we see Puddles and Freddie exploring the different areas of Carlisle Cathedral.  Use this photostory as a resource in itself and / or as a stimulus for planning a visit with Puddles and Freddie to your local church.

Puddles Visits Llansteffan Church

In this photostory we explore Llansteffan Church with the help of Puddles. Use this photostory to prepare for an upcoming visit or as a classroom resource.

To help make your life that little bit easier, a variety of resources and activities are available to download here, free of charge.  Also see our Photostory page for more downloadable files for you and your children.
